Chris Evert is considered one of the greatest female tennis players of all time, winning 18 Grand Slam titles along with staying at the pinnacle of women’s tennis for 7 years.
She has won more Grand Slam singles finals than any player, man or woman, in the history of professional tennis. She has also served as president of the Women’s Tennis Association for eleven years, becoming the face of women’s tennis worldwide.
Since retiring in 1989, Chris Evert has become involved in dozens of organizations including the Save the Children, the National Committee to Prevent Child Abuse, the Make-A-Wish Foundation and many others. She is also the founder of Chris Evert Charities, Inc. which has raised millions of dollars to fight substance abuse and to assist neglected and abused children.
Chris is also a partner and coach at Evert Tennis Academy in Boca Raton, Florida, which she opened in 1996.
