The 19 year baseball veteran, Al Leiter played in the Major Leagues as a left-handed starting pitcher. In 19 seasons, Leiter pitched for the New York Yankees, Toronto Blue Jays, Florida Marlins, and New York Mets. Currently, Leiter is employed as a studio analyst for the network MLB.
Raised in a baseball oriented family, drafted to the MLB in 1984, and making his major league starting pitch debut in 1987, Leiter achieved his dream of a being a major league baseball player.
Leiter battled through injury in the first half of his career, but through vigorous rehabilitation remade himself and by 1995 he re-established himself as a mean pitching machine. Scoring career highs in almost every game.
Leiter’s story is one of highs and lows, but ultimately, through perseverance and a strong will, he overcame every obstacle and now in retirement is known as a baseball legend.

- Leiter is a two time All Star champion and three time World Series Champion.
- Al Leiter won the Roberto Clemente Award in 2000, which recognizes a MLB player that represents the game of baseball through contributions, both in baseball and off the baseball field.
